5 Things You Need To Know

November 26th is the 330th day of the year. There are 35 days remaining until the end of the year.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is inviting everyone to the Links of Kent today at 1pm for the the Lake Erie Shoreline Study Meeting.

Everyone is welcome to attend. If you are unable to be there in person, you can watch on the Facebook page.

The final Tuesday Movie @ Your Library for November is this afternoon at the Chatham Branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library.

Throughout November there has been a surprise classic movie every Tuesday at 2pm. It might be a musical, maybe a comedy. You’ll have to come to find out!

Everyone is welcome for a suggested donation of $2 at the door.

Chris and Jen are volunteering their time this morning at Giant Tiger to watch a Salvation Army Kettle.

Kettles are out in Chatham and Wallaceburg now. They’ll hit the streets in Blenheim tomorrow.

The goal this year is $480,000 and that will stay local and support local initiatives.

Please make a donation (some kettles are equipped to take debit and credit cards) and volunteer your time to watch a kettle over the holidays. To help out call the Chatham-Kent Salvation Army at 519-437-1784 or 519-437-1769 or check out the Facebook page for info.

Stop by and see CKMORNINGS between 10-noon this morning at Giant Tiger Chatham.

Tampa Bay Bucs defensive tackle Vita Vea weighs 347 pounds and on Sunday, he became the heaviest player in NFL history to score a touchdown.

Vea lined up in the backfield as the fullback, which is an eligible receiver. But instead of being a blocker, he ran to the goal line completely untouched to catch a one-yard pass from quarterback Jameis Winston. Usually when a bigger dude rambles in for a TD, he’s a defensive lineman who got the ball on a turnover, but this was an offensive score.

The previous record holder was a defensive player named Dontari Poe, who did it in 2015 at 346 pounds.

Chatham-Kent’s TJ Brodie returned to the ice last night for the Calgary Flames.

TJ collapsed on the ice during a practice on November 14th. He was released the same day, but has had further testing done before being activated for last nights game in Pittsburgh.

Brodie started the game and played the over 24 minutes in a losing cause.
